Why do you love the world? …for a little bit of Sunshine!!!

The day was too much for her to handle… even after giving her sweat and blood to the organization, even after sacrificing most of the precious family gatherings, even after burning the midnight oil with no extra perks, she was sacked for no fault of hers. How could she simply be asked to leave the company after 10 years of integrity? Well, it was the last straw and she knew that she was barking up the wrong tree. Nina called up her travel agent and got her air tickets booked to Seychelles, that tiny, isolated dot in the Indian Ocean. After a quick shopping of all the essentials, she neatly packed her bags and in no time headed to the airport.
It seemed like a perfect day to her and her much awaited holiday was about to begin. This was indeed a drop of a hat decision but she looked forward to it, after all those days of slogging in her own company, for no goodness sake. She was dressed in her favourite pair of high waist, denim blue jeans, a chic, beige-coloured top and black boots, which accentuated her lady-like figure. She carried a white cardigan on her arms. Her flawless, natural makeup on the dusky skin, those big, expressive deep brown eyes, her bouncy, black hair which was let loose and the cutest smile, gave her the most desirable look.

She made herself comfortable in the plane and had already started building up castles in the air. Of course, the anxiety of the unknown had no boundaries, the fear hidden in the deepest corner of the heart had electrified and was running all over her mind and soul. But, suddenly the rush of emotions was shocked with this loud thud right next to her.

Unbelievable to her eyes, "pinch me" they said…"that can’t be him!" He was wearing a checked shirt, ragged jeans and a leather jacket. He had still retained his boyish charms under those progressing, fine lines around his eyes. Everything was getting beautifully, unfolded, step by step, right in front of her. Yes, they were on to this mystery adventure together, which they had very playfully said as teenagers. They wanted to explore this magnificent world of inexplicable beauty together. It was high-time for things to materialise and so very popularly, it’s said, better late than never! Now exactly after 20 years… they had met and set out on this journey to a place below clear blue skies, amidst white sand beaches, majestic sun, salty water and forest attired mountains.

He was pissed-off with his cranky, bantering relationships and she had tasted too much of all the situations. This was their dose to unwind, relax, rejuvenate and take the right decisions in life. They spoke nothing, instead, gazed intensely into each other’s eyes and smiled like, they had never before. They both knew nothing about the place, they had set their hearts to, just that it was a place to be together, holding hands on the beach, playing in the saltiest water, resting in the prettiest shack, wolfing on its scrumptious cuisine, capturing the most gorgeous moments in one of the scenic wonders of the world and most importantly being happy on travelling together to a place lesser known for a little bit of sunshine and to make up for the many lost moments.

After they hi-fived each other for turning words and dreams into reality, for an everlasting #enriching experience and to tick their dream places on their #bucketlist, there was a sudden announcement to buckle up their seat belts for the plane was ready to take off. Of course, yes, they couldn’t wait to adhere… for what lied ahead was to unravel their blind date with the world. This was mere the stepping stone to their first adventure and the stories to narrate to their coming generations.
