Serendipity - Over Cookies and Coffee (Part 4)

The cosmos had always brought them to each other’s doorsteps to confide, to console and to comfort. It was very special to be entwined in cords and knots that couldn’t be wrecked for worldly reasons. Their bond was never demanding and they quite understood their priorities since their vacuums had been very meticulously filled. Nobody else would have done it better than them in unison. The time and rhythm did play late but it always remembered to play at the right time. Wasn’t that divine?

So, it came the day when they wheeled to meet at this exotic, almost unheard of an island, hemmed in still blue waters, gated with hills and lush green trees. The pandemic had kept them away and they had not seen faces since the time they don’t even remember. Containing their excitement as well as anxiety was beyond their stimuli. Well they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder… is that true?

It was a rainy day, which brought them flashbacks of their intimacy and tenderness. This was happening for real. They were going to spend two days together, something they never saw coming. It was like a dream come true or were they dreaming? Thanks to the pandemic coverings, just their eyes filled with delight finally met. What a eureka moment it was!! The pretty little cottage was waiting for their arrival. It was situated very close to the ocean. They could hear the soft gushing waves, the gentle breeze and the fresh smell of the sand. After removing the masks and locking their hands, they headed towards their fairy-tale abode.

Some combinations of people and places are magical, they might not happen ever again but we still are so grateful to be a part of this pixie dust. They both had a perennial smile glued on their faces, which didn’t even get tired wearing off.

After a quick change and satisfying their hunger pangs, went on a boat ride… nothing to tick from their bucket list because they just did what life gave them which was actually the bucket list they never had. As long as they could hear each other laugh, cry, smile, frown and sulk, it was all that mattered. Of course, it does look like people who have eloped from a Hallmark movie but it was true... Love has no reasons. Aby and Rob had found their existence, met finally to detoxify themselves, drink endless cups of coffee together, eat each other’s cookies and delectable cuisine, roam around in their nightwear without keeping track of time and do some crazy adventures in the capacity of their age.

They met ‘serendipity’, I absolutely fancy the meaning of this word…'It's the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or a beneficial way.I completely feel that the moment you let go, and you are receptive to the universe, the stars shine and smile down on.

  1. Beautiful... I went back and ready all the parts and you made we walk beside Aby and Rob.. at time I felt they saw me stalking them. From the parking lot to the beach hut, they had a beautiful time together except the freaking pandemic which made them both vulnerable and kept them apart.. waiting for the next chapter of their life together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
