So long, Coron-tine!

A little over a week of quarantine, without anybody flooding your place but a downpour of memories, turns on each of your day and stimulates most of your senses.

The reminiscing of all the places you have been, all the moments captured (even if it means crying homesick), all the culture battles fought, all the friends made (and who stayed),  all the new-broken languages learnt, all the scrumptious cuisines savoured, all the appreciation-criticism garnered and all in all, for the hope of a better life, to be lived.

Suddenly, our world has come to a standstill, what if it has, just stopped to rest for a while? To regenerate and recreate what God gifted the mankind.

When a huge lot of medical saviours (no offence to the dentists) wake up every day, get dressed in their armours, to go to their war zones and continue saving the planet… I wonder and ponder, what is life, though?

A series of sunrise and sunsets, warm-caring hugs, cackles of laughter, shadows and waves hither-thither, finely plaited in our lives. All simple things, nevertheless, they tend to get complicated infrequently.

I have always dreamt of walking under thick canopies with mild sunshine streaking in, treading on those wide, round, dry leaves to hear them croak, walking up the highest mountains without complaints, racing in the forest storm finally to land in the haunted house, compete eating a lot of seafood and win over my tummy aftermath, lastly, having The Nut Cracker night in Verona of the 1920s.

Crazy like it may sound, but doesn’t that keep us alive, living and kicking?

Life always gives you a second chance, to explore your inner being, to discover new traits, to know people and to dilate your horizon. Okay, there are times when it scares you… but its like now or never, so 1…2…3…kaboom…you enter and its heaven! How I wish, everyone has an opportunity to feel this special…!

We are entitled to what gives us love and happiness, to shape ourselves, to smile often and be in a world which doesn’t nullify your existence and lets you be what you’ve always been wanting to – an adventurer, an explorer, an inventor, a creator, a seeker, a giver, a receiver and a go-getter.

So, when love choses you, given in and when happiness knocks on you, grab it.

Oh my darlin', oh my darlin' sweet Coron-tine,
You may be gone
But!
You're not forgotten,
Fare thee well

So long, Coron-tine!
